Q1. Is “330500-06-02” a proximity probe (eddy-current) or a vibration sensor? Despite “proximity” sometimes being used loosely, the 330500 series is a piezoelectric velocity / vibration sensor (Velomitor). It senses casing vibration rather than shaft displacement. |
Q2. What does the “-06-02” suffix mean? The “-06” often refers to the mounting thread / adapter, e.g. “-06: 5/8-18 UNF thread” in some listings. The “-02” may denote a particular agency approval / certification (for e.g. ATEX / hazardous area compatibility) in that variant. |
Q3. How do I mount the sensor? Use a rigid, clean, smooth mounting surface on the bearing housing or structural casing. Improper mounting can degrade amplitude and frequency response. Torque the mounting properly (24–40 in-lb).

Q4. What range of vibration signals can it detect? Useful within ~4.5 Hz to 5 kHz (±3 dB) band. Up to ~1270 mm/s (50 in/s) peak velocity.
