Specialized solution for high-precision, non-contact vibration monitoring in exceptionally tight and confined machine clearances. The narrow-field design eliminates side-view cross-talk interference from surrounding metal walls, solving false-reading vulnerabilities common to standard 5mm or 8mm probes. Ideal for safeguarding compact critical machinery such as small centrifugal pumps, small compressors, and precision gearboxes without sacrificing measurement accuracy.
Engineer's Note
"When deploying this M10-threaded NSv probe, ensure your technicians strictly respect the maximum installation torque limit of 8.5 N*m (75 in*lb). Exceeding this limit will deform the specialized, compact internal coil structures. Additionally, remember that because this is an 8.0-meter integrated probe, it is configured uniquely for extended-run layouts and must be matched with a corresponding 3300 XL NSv Proximitor sensor calibrated for an 8-meter system."

Q: Why should I choose the 3300 XL NSv probe over a standard 3300 XL 8mm probe?
A: Standard 8mm probes project a wide electromagnetic field that interacts with surrounding metal if installed in tight holes, causing massive calibration errors. The NSv version emits a highly focused, narrow field specifically designed to operate inside tight counterbores and confined machine housings without edge interference.
Q: Can I cut or shorten the 8.0-meter cable if it is too long for my installation?
A: No, you must never cut the cable. The electrical length of the cable is part of the tuned oscillator circuit; shortening it will permanently destroy the sensor's calibration and prevent the Proximitor from reading accurate millivolt-per-mil vibration data.
Q: Is this specific probe model safe for explosive gas environments?
A: This specific "-00" option suffix indicates a standard, non-certified version meant for safe areas. If your plant environment requires ATEX, IECEx, or Class I Div 1 hazardous area approvals, you must order the probe with the "-05" agency approval suffix option instead.
